Welcome to the DICOM Studio Desktop application! Getting started is quick and easy. To ensure a secure installation process and seamless automatic updates, DICOM Studio is distributed directly through the official app stores for both macOS and Windows.

Choose your operating system below for instructions on how to download and install the application.

macOS

For Mac users, DICOM Studio is available directly through the official Mac App Store.

• Open the App Store application on your Mac.
• Search for DICOM Studio or click the direct link below.
• Click the Get or Download button to install the application to your machine.
• Once installed, you can launch DICOM Studio from your Applications folder or via Launchpad.

Minimum system requirements:

• OS: macOS 26.0 (Tahoe) or later.
• Processor: Apple Silicon (M1 or newer).
• Memory: 8 GB RAM (16 GB Recommended).
• Storage: 100 MB available disk space.

Windows

For Windows users, DICOM Studio can be downloaded securely via the Microsoft Store.

• Open the Microsoft Store application on your Windows PC.
• Search for DICOM Studio or use the direct link below to navigate to our store page.
• Click the Get or Install button to download the application.
• Once the installation is complete, you can find and launch DICOM Studio directly from your Start menu.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues during the installation process, try the following steps:

• Download is Stuck or Fails: Ensure you have a stable internet connection. If the download remains stuck, try closing and reopening the Mac App Store or Microsoft Store, or restart your computer.
• Insufficient Disk Space: Verify that you have at least 100 MB of free storage space available on your hard drive before initiating the installation.
• OS Compatibility Errors: Double-check that your operating system version meets the minimum requirements listed above. You may need to run system updates before installing the app.
• Display or Rendering Issues on Launch: Because DICOM Studio utilizes advanced graphics rendering, Windows users in particular should ensure their graphics card drivers are fully up to date.
